I had a full service on my car by an ex mechanic of Mercedes who now does his own work and there was a note on my MOT about the front brake disks being pitted, he looked and said he couldnt find anything wrong with them and theres loads left on the pad so suggested just maybe changing the disks next time the pads need doing. However ive found the brakes to be quite squeaky! is there anything that can be done about it? And is that an indicator that they maybe do need changing?

Hello Roy, it is normal to have a slight pitting on the rears after the Winter.

The squealing is normally lack of grease on the rear of the pads and it means nothing other than the noise.

You do not have to change the pads or disc before the limit on the wear has been reached
