tracking horribly out? power steering fluid very low? Fan belt loose?

give us a clue - wheres the squeeling coming from?

test:-
1) for belt loose. switch ALL electrical things on, inc fans, main beamns, fogs, rear heated screen. does the squeel happen (engine running) yes = loose belt. tighten...

2) for power steering fluid low - check reservoir....

3) for tracking - look at wear on tyres, is it BADLY worn on one edge? yes = go to garage, get tracking done.

Does it squeals when turning the steering wheel at standstill?
If it doesn't, it's probably worn or badly inflated tyres

I can't really add much more to guydewdney's post, he seems to have covered all the bases there. One further thing it could be, are you driving it in the style of the 500E's in the film "Taxi"?

oh - and brake disc dust cover touching disc - my volvo does this sometimes - but its a very metalllic screech, not a rubber screech.

repair - turn steering to extreme lock, pull brake cover (sheet metal thing) away from disc / wheel. turn to opposite lock repeat. you only need to pull it 5mm or so.
