squeeky brakes

my sl 2006 has recently developed squeeky front brakes do these cars have any antisqueek devices [like the old thin metal strips behind the pads] if not is there a cure THANKS

You may have picked up some contamination, by slipping out the pads and re greasing them and de glazing the disc should solve it. some times the anti rattle shim comes loose and re greasing will solve it
