Hi Gang
1995 C250, manual seats, (not power)
Managed to cure a squeek noise from the drivers seat this week, only happened when cornering. Been trying for ages to track it down. I even took the seat out to get a better look, but its hard to make it happen out of the car. Incidentally, this must be the most complicated non power seats ever. On the side of the seat is a wheel with a 4 point star, (front height adjustment). this connects to a shaft passing accross the seat. This shaft was rubbing on the inside of the curved slot in the side frame. No need to strip anything down, just pull off the knob & put a wee bit of grease on the shaft. Great to have silence again ! Funny how it always squeeked when you were trying to impress a passenger with your Merc.!.
