Not a massively important problem, but ****** annoying all the same.

The fan started squeeking last night, really loud. It does it on the first two speed settings all the time. It is doing my head in.
Where are the fans and is it possible to stop them squeeking?

heater blower is under wiper arm. do a search on 190 heater removal, you dnt need to remove the heater but once youve removed the wiper covers etc etc you can take of heater cover off and grease it in place. i did it on my cossie 190. think its a comon prob on them.

ps, its not a pleasent job! :-(

You certainly will !!! Mine packed in a few weweks ago. Not got round to getting th ebugger out properly yet. Trying to get it out without moving the bulkhead forward didn't help on my first attempt though. That will also mean you won't spend half an hour getting the wiper assembly off too !!

Why is it always a little thing that is easy to fix- that goes wrong behind a gordian knot of wiring, nuts that are impossible to reach with a spanner, the one screw that has corroded like hell and a piece of plastic that breaks when you touch it? I swear car designers are a secret illuminati that want society to break down due to cut fingers, bruised thumb nails and dry skin problems due to excessive swarfega use.
There. Rant over.

A very easy job! remove wiper blade a and remove plastic trim under windscreen Remove wiper motor by loosening the 3 bolts under the scuttle panel and 1 bolt on the bulkhead panel, then loosen the 6 bolts on the bulkhead panel and slide forwards remove the 2 screws on top heater motor and remove cover then at the drivers side of the heater remove the 3 screws and remove heater motor should only take 1-1.5 hours very easy.
