Does this squeek happen when you touch the brake? maybe a small stone in the pad?

Or does this happen when not braking or cornering? more info required please so we can help....

No - it does it when the wheel roates.

When driving after a few mins I notice a squike noise from the rear of the car (near the rear drivers side tyre). It seems to happen when the wheel rotates at certain positions. It is really annoying! ......as you can imagine :)

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

thanks

In addition to the possibility of a trapped foreign body in the shield or caliper it may be that the outer edge of the disc (on either side) has a heavy rusty bead and this is catching the pads as the wheel rotates, examine the disk edge with the wheel off and if its corroded you may try tapping the edges with a small(ish) hammer to crack he bead off. do both sides of the disk and wear goggles, this is the low cost option. If the inside of the disc suface has a band of corrosion then it will probably require replacement, as indeed it in reality needs if the outer edges are grotty or the working surfaces are anything other than nice and smooth.
