SRS & air bag disable light on

Hi, I have a 1998 E200 auto and these lights are intermitantly on/off. I have narrowed it down to the front passenger seat sensor which appears to be controlled by a seated passenger or a child which is fitted with a transduser. Is there any way I can bypass the sensor so as to leave the air bag perminently on and not have to replace the seat ?

There are some malfunctions in the software on some cars, you could have the fault codes read, may need new modified sensors to software status 3.2
