SRS fault: No wipers

2007 CLK 200: Recent fault- Passeger Air Bag Light stays on and SRS Warning appears on Dash resulting that Windscreen wipers won't work! Replaced recognition Pad in Driver's seat but to no avail. Fault only occurs if vehicle left out in rain. When dry: no problem.

It sounds like a short somewhere. You can try and locate it by playing a hosepipe over selected areas of the car until the problem reappears, but if your vehicle is only a year old - I'd get it checked under warranty.
