srs warning light

is there an easy way of resetting the srs warning light or do i have to visit the dealer this has come-on in a c class c270cdi:confused:

disconnect the battery for 15 minutes see does it resolve it, if not check the passengers seat, could be a duff relay in/under it.

I was under the impresion that once triggered, the only way to reset the SRS light was to plug it in to the startac machine. Dealer or indie basically. In any case, you really need to know why it came on in the first place so get the fault codes read.
