Hi ‘ya folks,

I received a Star Diagnostics system for research. The unit came with very little documentation.

Anyway I figured out the OBDII connector, however this system came with three other cables.

38 pin cable, 4 pin cable, and a 14 pin cable.

From what I can gather, the 14 pin cable is for trucks such as the Sprinter.

What year vehicles will the 38 Pin cable work on?

What year vehicles will the 4 pin cable work on?

Thanks for your help.

Jim

The 4 pin is for the first cars capable of computer diagnosis, late 124,s some 129 sl and the 201 190 series. Late 126 s-class.

Basically late 80's cars to mid 90's
