Star software ?

hi everyone,
I have been trying to get hold of the diagnostic software that Mercedes use but no one seems to do it
I previously had the software for the Audi I had before , this was called Vag-Com. I was able to read faults and reset things and alter certain other things with this.
I understand that Mercedes use Star , and noticed that some members on here have their own so could someone please enlighten me if it is available

No chance, I use Carsoft the legit version and it does what I want.

I use the U581 scanner/reader About £70. Reads and resets all engine faults but far as i know only Star covers all vehicle fault codes and resets.

Nothing around under £1 for a dedicated STAR. most cost £3k and upwards

I use the Maxidiag EU702. It reads and resets more than the U581 but also costs more at about £150 +VAT. It's a good all rounder and will read many other car types, including charting live data.

There is someone selling IBM laptops on ebay they come complete with the star software installed and all cables to go with it. Not sure if its gen stuff but at the price I would expect it to be.

These have been on the market now for some 12 months or more

I have star,its the only thing to have to diagnose complex faults on these cars.Getting the software isnt an issue,german ebay has plenty of update discs available too.There are companies out there supplying star units with twice yearly updates but are too expensive for owners and are aimed at indies etc.
