Okay a few questions, what makes you think it's the immobiliser, have you had the codes read to understand what it's doing?

On a side note no one on here will tell you how to bypass the immobiliser, it's a public forum so would allow anyone to the steal that model vito

You aren't getting it. No one is going to tell you or anybody else how to steal a Vito.

What do the codes say when read by a code reader,

Please don't take it the wrong way but again no one on this forum will tell you how to bypass the immobiliser it's an integral part of the security of the vehicle and bypassing would invalidate your insurance, let alone teach you how to seal other Vito that share the system. I understand your trying to get the van back on the road but there is a better way to go about it than butchering the wiring,

Whatever you do don't get a Julie, they are very expensive and difficult to keep maintained,
you are better off getting a Susan or a Karen they do the same job and are easier to keep running,
they are less than half the cost of a Julie and much less troublesome and the manuals are self explanatory but never really make much sense.
If you do manage to decipher the manual you are on course to becoming a multi millionaire.

I understand the instructons on wiring it in - it then goes on about needing to read and write eprom values? well if i could do that I wouldnt need to shove a chip in there hence my confusion. I am thinking of just buying a known good key, ecu and security module combo from ebay as this issue is driving me nuts!!!
