Start stop problem

Hi I have a GLA220D Automatic. When I stop at say traffic lights, engine turns off as it should but when I release the brake, and the engine attempts to start, it just judders and shudders so much so that I turn it off then switch the stop start button off and just start the engine again as normal on the key.

It's not running well is it . Have a garage look at the throttle body and possible air leaks .

Sounds like dodgy connection. Personally I think a fd stop start system is a real bonus and mine is off as soon as key in. If I am in long traffic line I simply turn off then turn on f the silicon chip.

As above turn it off when you get in the car as I do problem solved - it really does put an unnecessary load on the battery/engine at this time of year

Would want to know what is causing the issue though. Agree with disabling it, I also do the same in the individual dynamic driving mode.

And also 'as it should' when briefly coming to a stop at road junctions/roundabouts when potentially wanting to move out quickly, and even stopping to engage reverse.
I have nothing against start/stop technology because it can be quite useful when paired with a manual gearbox, but with an automatic...JUST NO!!!
The very first thing I always do by default when I start my car is disable the start/stop, and Mercedes have made it super easy on my car with the off button immediately below the starter button.

My start/stop stopped working ages ago which stopped me having to turn it off when I start off. Occasionally the start/stop starts working and then I have to start stopping it but it's usually not many days until the start/stop stops again... it's one of those features I can certainly do without.

Stretched chains fd ring gears and starters, given all the other dramas I really happy trying to avoid the boomarang syndrome so diligently set up by makers.

SS just there for the emmisions. Good for environmrnt in not pumping bad gas in the air. A total crock of poo technology. More hassle to the motorist than its worth.
My W205 is on 24k miles and I replaced the ss battery 3 effing times. Its dead again - I am leaving it.
Not to mention the wear on components.

you switch it off each time you start up. It comes on itself at start by default.
A non functioning ss is better

You can pull a fuse that disables it full time .

It didn't on my c250 . My e350 flagged up aux battery malfunction.
