I have a Mercedes Benz 2006 right hand drive andstarting motor doesn't work how can I remove it? And is it possible to remove from the top of the engine bay

What makes you sure that it is the starter that is at fault? as in, have you checked everything else out first.

Not common for starter motors to fail. Check the ground.
They can be rebuilt. The live wire goes normally direct to the motor to help you find it.
If you specify the 2006 merc you have, that may help others answer your question.
