starter problem

On occaion my 312 sprinter '96 refuses to start. When i switch on, all ignition lights come on as normal, but engine will not turnover. Maybe 1 hour later, she starts with first turn. It is not a battery problem. It happens mostly when engine is warm.

We had this problem on 313CDI, we tried all sorts of things like glow plugs, battery etrc etc, ended up taking it back to the dealer and getting an older non cdi model as no one could find anything wrong, no fault codes registered or anything.
