Starting Problems: Key won't turn

Hi Everybody,

Am having problems with my CLK 320 (2000 year), sometimes the electronic key will not turn in the ignition. It doesn't seem to be "sucked into" the ignition and I don't hear the click of the key locking into place.

Any ideas? I even changed the batteries and there was no difference.

Any help is appricated

Has happened again, have had to call out Mobilo. Engineer said that the EIS (electronic Ignition system) has failed. Lucky it is still under warranty.

One thing, first time I have used Mobilo life......Fantastic service, sent a technical support engineer to me who arranged for a tow and a brand new E class for a courtsey car, all free of charge. Well worth keeping the service history offical.
