I have a C250 turbo diesel estate - 1998 Model - and am experiencing
occasional starting problems. The battery is good, the glo plugs and
relay are working and in good condition. The problems do not specifically
occur at low temps - today for example it is 10 degrees yet the car
struggled to start. When the car does start there is no white smoke out of the exhaust.
It is apparent that the longer the car is left the greater the probability of the fault occuring. For example at weekends if I don't use the car until lunchtime more often than not it won't start first time.
The problem is intermittent - if I leave it with a mechanic it will invariably start first time the following morning.
Anybody have any ideas.
