Hi my 1990 W126 was always bad starting from cold then I lost power to the fuel pump. But still got sparks cleaned and warmed plugs Reinstated fuel pump power by a simple direct battery connection but still really bad starting after much cranking I give up. Fired a coupla times but did not burst into life.I have located the fuel pump relay.Where is the ovp fuse n relay? the temp sender? crank sensor is I asume is at the front. All this started after I fitted a new water pump. How does the cold start work does it electrically squirt fuel into the inlet manifold it was running OK before when it was warm but tickover always rough n lumpy maybe rotor dissy cap required All helpful comments much appreciated.

The OVP relay is on the bulkhead, just in front of the windscreen, to the left of the battery. It is a vertical block about 5cm high and 2.5cm wide. It is bolted to a metal plate which must be unscrewed before unplugging the relay. The original relay has a single fuse on top, the replacement has been modified and has a second fuse. Costs about £55.
