Stealer Alternatives in Gloucestershire?

Hello all,

Currently I only know of two people who can service my 2003 Merc C200k in Gloucestershire.

The local stealers who I have already had a bad experience with (wouldn't you find it annoying to be patronsied about a warranty issue, where they will only cover it if it were a UK supplied model when the dealer actually stating this supplied to car to the first owner.....) and my local independant County Mercedes of Cheltenham who are no cheaper than the stealer.

Surely there is someone else who can service my car to a decent standard without robbing me of hundreds of pounds just to pay for the B&O tv they have in the waiting area?

My car is due a service A and MOT shortly....help please!!

If you're prepared to travel into the darkest reaches of the valleys of South Wales, there's an indie in Pontypridd - Stuttgart Garage. Uses OE parts only. Got a stealer quote for £630 to replace the discs and pads on my 2000 E240. Stuttgart did it for £335. Also polite and a mine of useful info, in contrast to the stealers. Clearly no coffee perc or B&O tele though!

Thanks Adrian, not too far to go in the future once the Benz is out of warranty, but with the amounts of Mercs there are in Cheltenham you would have thought that there must be someone else??

I bought a car a couple of years ago from a guy in Cheltenham and he'd always had it serviced at a place called Hansa (Merc specialist as well as Porsche, I think) - not sure of their details but could be worth checking out.

Thanks for the help guys. I have the car booked into County as I have to get it done next week (800 miles left and a trip to London on both this Friday and next Monday) but I have just found Hansa's details on yell.

They are actually located 3 miles from where I work at the bottom of Leckhampton Hill....well worth checking out.
