Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent place to have the Steering Geometry checked and setup correctly on my C43 - pref in the south east?...
I live in West Sussex (which to some is south east, to others not!) and use Discount Tyres in Worthing. They have a Hunter laser alignment jig that detected a minute mis-alignment in my C43's rear track and fixed it within seconds. One of the good things about this setup is they firstly ensure the steering wheel is straight THEN if needed fine tune BOTH track rods to ensure correct alignment. Full readout supplied showing all before and after measurements.
If you are out of reach of Worthing, then I'd suggest find any tyre depot that has the Hunter jig. These are £60k plus to buy so anyone who has them is likely to invest in using them properly.
Micheldever tyres, (01962 774437). Only problem is for a full diagnosis and set up you have to book about 3 weeks in advance.
Many places seem to have equipment, but no technicians who really understand beyond simple toe adjustment!!
