steering "rack ends"

hi all,
at the last MOT, the mechanic said that there was a small amount of play in the steering at the steering rack ends ( uv joints ) "not the track rod end ball joints",the piece that fixes to the steering rack which the track rod screws into, wow, did that make sense?

anyway, i can't seem to buy this part separately. has anyone any ideas where or who i can get them from.obviously it would be cheaper than buying the full rack

Make sure you have the right car by using the first 6 numbers of your VIN,go to steering, and you eill see it all laid out.
