Steering & Suspension Problems C180 1995

Hi recently problems have started with my C180-steering has become tighter and does not return automatically most if the time. When reversing if you brake you can fell movement at the passenger side wheel and when going over rough ground a rattling noise which can be heard and felt inside the car (Passenger Side) and when going over speed bumps a noise as if something is moving but when i go over 2 bumps together (Evenly) no noise.

Searches all seem to deal with pressed-in joints like the 124's, but I think the C180 has right-angled tapered joints? Can someone help Rob with procedure?
