Steering wheel interchangerbility(bigger word than potato)

I've recently changed my w124 e280 for a '98 w210 turbo diesel(A GOOD MOVE :?: ).It seems to be a fine drive but the steering wheel's just horrid to hold(Classic spec plastic).There seem to be loads of wood /leather wheels for sale for later w210's,ie with radio/cruise functions,will
my airbag fit these?
