I really want to keep my W124 300TE (89), but as it is my wife's primary from of transport when I have the company car, I have a question to ask of you. The main problem is that my wife is very slight, and has trouble comfortably pressing the accelerator down w/o twisting her back by stretching for it. I reckon the problem is down to the fact that the steering wheel prevents her from having the seat close enough to the pedals. If she does then the wheel is too close and it makes gher feel cramped. Can the wheel from a later model be fitted. There is no air bag in our car. If the wheel was smaller it would not interfere with her sitting up closer to the pedals... Can anyone help here? Aftermarket or MB smaller wheel would be perfect. Suggestions?

Best,

Jim
