Hi I've just discovered that my '93 E320 cab has grown mould all over the steering wheel since it has been in storage for the winter!, Anyone know if later model wheels fit? I only ask as I can't find an original one anywhere and I have been told that any airbag model wheel fits, even the later ones (1999,2000 etc)
could someone help me please, or if you know a good supplier?

cheers Rich.

The wheel is leather. Your hands carry bacteria and when you drive it you transfer the bacteria to the wheel. Driven normally, you disturb the surface and flatten any growth. left undisturbed for long enough (e.g. over the winter) this can grow into mould. Hence leather wheels go a bit 'manky' over time.
So, clean it off with some anti bacterial cleaner or wipe and then polish it up with leather cleaner, which will also inhibit future growth, and it should come up as good as new.
No need to replace the wheel.
