Hi
I've got the dreaded clicking sound on my 2003 clk 320 w209 and the fault code indicates it's m2/16 at fault (left and right defrost flap). I can just get my finger on the side of it above the charcoal filter chamber and can feel a pulse when it clicks - so am pretty sure I've got the right actuator. I've gone through all the other threads I can find relating to this and am 99% sure I need to remove the dash to get to it. Been struggling most of the day and have the following questions:
1. Just to be sure....does the dash have to come out or is there a way to get the charcoal chamber out of the way so I can get access to m2/16?
2. If the dash has to come out - it says to remove the centre nozzle cover. But the wire which goes to the parking sensor display (which seems to be part of the nozzle cover) is only long enough for the cover to lift the cover about 20mm and I can't reach to disconnect the cable - am I missing something?
3. I haven't got to this stage because of the above, but it shows 2 bolts (item 9 ) to be removed in the corner where the dash and the a post and the windscreen meet.....I haven't a clue where these are - will this become evident when at that stage?
Any help would be greatly appreciated please
Thanks
Mike
