Stereo Sat Nav Reseting at Night E270 CDI

I have a E270 CDI 2002 Model with Sat Nav/Stereo.

Recently the whole Sat Nav Stereo unit keeps switching itself off and then coming back on.

Has anyone got any ideas have they experienced this?

Is this happening when driving or only as in the header at night.

They are on a wake up circuit that shuts them down after 20 mins at switch off

It happens when driving at night and only at night never happened in the day.

Could it be the auto dimming that you can switch off in the menu or on one of the buttons at the top, and just the dim mode not working
