Welcome to the forum Malcolm.
In order of ease and cheapest first, I would have the balance redone by another firm and try it again. If this doesn't cure your problem, have the steering damper checked and replaced if necessary - not difficult or too expensive. If neither of these are successful then the drag link/idler arm balljoints or track rod ends need to be looked at. (Any outfit worth their salt though I would have expected to check these before doing the tracking). Neither is this job too complicated, any non-franchised garage could do it.
HTH, Tom.

Just one more point i forgot.Recently drove to manchester when i noticed the vibration also noticed car appears to drift to the left and you have to only slightly adjust steering to go in straight line:hence why i thought tracking:as previously stated subsequent laser testing of wheel alignment came back as all clear this left me puzzled:any ideas many thanks

Re. drifting left, any car properly 'specced' in terms of tracking, matching tyres both sides and inflated correctly, should have a slight tendency to drift left simply owing to road camber. There has been much discussion on the forum about this and it seems MB are particularly prone. If only slight, treat as normal. If you ever get the chance for a moment or three try driving on the 'wrong' side where there's a camber - the opposite should be the case, or, alternatively, straddle the centre of the road, when it should go straight!
Don't forget to post final results, so others may benefit.
