I have a 1995 W210.010 E250 D
The last 4 days happens the following:
In the morning when I try to start the engine it looks like battery is dead...digits on Instrument Cluster almost dissapear, it cranks like dead battery and I receive indication Charge Battery...
When i turn the key to Position 0 and back to Position 2 (wait till warm up lamp goes off!) then engine starts singing like a bird instantly with no indication at all...
This happens not only in the morning (huge amounts of humidity) but any other time also...
The starnge is that it is not consistent, meaning, it happens here and there not every time I start the engine...
Thank you all :p

Could be loose connection either battery or starter/solenoid or faulty ign/starter switch.

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
Some how I have a feeling that this is a battery problem with the battery going high resistance on one cell, the first start almost boils the acid and repairs the fault so that it starts on the second attempt, the battery is at the right age for this to happen

Thank you all for the response.
In that case I suspect the battery should be replaced.
What is the recommended strength the new one should have?
(Ahs, Current in Amps)
Open type or Closed Type?
What is your opinion?
Thanks again!!!
