 :-( I have just bought a second hand land rover discovery, two owners and in superb original condition..........the only problem is i am struggling to remove the straw left inside by the previous horsey owners.I have hovered out most of it,but i am left with about two thousand tiny slivers of straw all over the place:-( :-( I have tried sellotape,a brush and a wet cloth to no avail, short of leaving a couple of Shetland ponies in the car overnight i am stuck!....any idea's please?

Bob.

Big problem with a vacuam cleaner is that the moving air creates a static charge on nylon carpets, just a thought, a light spray with water first ?, one of those rollers for taking the bits off clothes as the roller charges up in order to pick up.

  Do you think that we should have a STRAW poll whether I should leave it in or not??

The lady who I bought the discovery off parting words were "YOU WILL STILL BE PULLING STRAW OUT OF THAT CAR UNTIL THE DAY THAT YOU SCRAP IT"
I am determined to prove her wrong!

If I took the car to a professional valeter and he saw it............I think that he would run like hell!!!
We have two sets of tweezers, so this weekend it will be me in the front of the car and the missus in the back picking straw out:rolleyes:

Just a thought, but have you considered a blow-job

you might be able to blow the straw out with a leaf blower or an air-line. It also gave me an excuse for a great double-entendre. Of course, it would mean you partner stooging around with a hoover to catch the stuff you blow out, otherwise you are just moving it, and not removing it. Could be a great game though.

Stiff brush and vac is all I can think of.
I'm going to give the jeep a going over this afternoon - that's full of straw too. I'll see what I can come up with!
