On two seperate occasions recently I have been unable to get my 2001 E240 estate out of park mode. The level will not budge. I wait for about 5-10 minutes with the engine running and then it appears to release itself and allow me to put it in Drive. Any ideas as I'm concerned something is about to fail permanently. No other problem noticed 92,000 miles done.
