Stuck in York Blown Suspension Pipe

Anyone know someone in York?
Car has blown a pipe and am waiting for the RAC but its not likely to get a fix.

I guess the RAC will get you and car home, so ask them to drop it at your local garage.

Used to be mobile outfit. Hose doctor, or similar they do the construction sites and industrial areas Google n call generally they only fit hose if straight forward access otherwise Dow. To you.

If u call em don't forget to ask bring some of correct oil generally they wi only be carrying a 32 and or 64.

Thanks, called the RAC and it's been appalling am now sat at services waiting.

4 hours before Green Flag came out to me recently.
After flat wagon home a message from them saying they wouldn't respond, or charge, for the same fault in 30 days. I wondered what description they had as the driver told me my water pump had gone. I had told them the AC compressor had seized, it took the belt with it.
And he called me from the wrong place and then found me from my directions.

Still at the services they dumped us at litany of lies and broken promises.
Been told three times a taxi is on its way.
Numerous recovery trucks nothing.
Even had some amateur lawyer telling me that my car is dumped here by then at my own risk!

So I just asked to speak to someone else as it was pointless explaining the point to him.

Why feed this tosh to their employees?

Terrible service that just seems so common these days

Well eventually home by Taxi around ten.

The car this morning is not here.

R.A.C haven't thought to update me with the whereabouts of the car so I have rung them and it may be here 9.30-10.00 but I can't trust them they just lie repeatedly.

It isn't just one person, I got repeated assurances and they were clearly untrue.

Transport was not booked as promised and it appears they would have left us at motorway services for the day at least.

Pay n p off basically, often case these days. Sorry to here of dramas. Hope ends well and don't break ur wallet. Next renewal vote with feet. Make sure u don't have auto renewal rbs just tried that for my car cover. Hard luck was w end so I rang bank and cancelled payment to them. Not a whisper since. Seems auto renewal was default bs

Unfortunately they’re all the same. I had 3 different trucks and a good few hours to get me home. They then came back a day later to take it to the garage (of my choice) when I called them again about finishing the job.
That was with RAC, I was transported with someone with the AA who’d been on 2 trucks and waited over 8 hours for the first one.
Lack of trained staff and vehicles, and subcontracting the work out.

Get u.. less about customer service more about collecting the premiums and hoping u never call and now prob same as banks. Call em too busy due to covid. I wonder how long that will be excuse.

It's not always bad,I had a good experience with MOBILO recently and I got to keep a nice E class for ten days whilst they fixed my car and arranged transport for the car from Cumbria to Devon.

As a fellow RAC member it’s interesting to hear they are no better than the rest private equity strikes again unfortunately but who do you go with nowadays to get good service…?

Laughably bad, just lie after lie from the RAC staff and for no obvious reason.
Interesting comments though from one driver, Ford Kugas, he had four in day cooked batteries.
Teslas quite a few totally dead.

Duracell cars not yet sorted. Think hydrid way to go if u must. At least whatever batt state ur likely to be still going home.
I still confident hydrogen will eclipse Duracell as a sole power supply anyway.

Depends if he is using Mobilo (a MB product based on MB service) or a seperate RAC cover. Although both are services by the RAC they are not the same.

had the same with the AA a few years back , sheered the wheel nuts off my navara , took nearly nine hours to get me home , i could have fixed it at the side of the road ! i ask a mate to tow me home these days , it may cost me a few beers but it gets done pronto rather than on their timescale
