Thanks for the reply. but how come the Coolant error is popping up and heaps of DTC error but no Crank Position Sensor.Engine cuts out.
Later restarts when engine cooler.
That's often down to the Crank Position Sensor.
Not expensive.
Hi, Thanks for the reply. the coolant warning is on 31s (video), we have changed few relays before, it doesn't seems to help. The OP has posted the 19 DTCs in the another thread as well as the Youtube description. Something more fundamental that crank sensor I'd say. As they are all electrical faults and lots of open circuits, you must be losing a 12v power. Is there something common to all those circuits?
The coolant warning (couldn't see it on the vid) I guess is just because the heated thermostat has lost it's power, but so have many others. They just don't have a dash message associated with them.
Engine temp was fine, reader told me was about 88cWhat's the engine temperature showing when it cuts out?
Is the coolant level correct?
Getting the fault codes read is the ideal,
but that might wait till some one can fit you in,
MB typically charge £180 for that.
Last time i bought a CPS, many years ago admittedly, it cost me £36. And some contortioning to swap it out.
Pretty sure the screw driver points the way for the 651
No.Do you think this could be ECU issues ?
Thank you supernoodle, i guess will have to take to workshop to have STAR scan.No.
That many circuits in the ECU will not suddenly fail. The ECU will be the low side driver for those circuits. That means it switches the ground. The battery voltage supply for those circuits will come from another source. Given that'll probably be a single source, that is what I'd be searching for.
I see you're using an ELM based scan tool. That will only be interrogating the engine and transmission. A better tool that talks to all the other modules may yield some useful info.
