Stupid Idea No368 - Convoy !!!!

Okay heres a silly idea.

Pick a motorway service station and a silly hour of the day or night. All meet up and have a cup of coffee and bacon sandwich/whatever.

Then proceed to leave the service station in convoy mode - in order of chassis series / model etc.., A's, C's, E's etc.,, If we can get a good formation going across the 3 lanes then so much the better. Drive south to north or vice versa and then peel off as your best exit approaches.

Can you imagine the faces of other car drivers as we form "pincer" movements on them?

A further twist to the silly idea - if we incorporate the M6 Toll Road into the drive we can all pay at the same toll booth - all wearing false black beards and a strange hat ( including the women !!) but appear totally unaware of the other mercs or the beard and hat.

Last thing, should I get out more??

actually thinking about it....I dont think I could create a convey, or take up 3 lanes myself, as thats who normally goes to these sorts of events...but I will give it a go and let you know how many people swear at me

sounds familiar. Didn't I see you driving around in a Skoda Octavia wearing Groucho glasses, 'tache and cigar? Or did I catch a glimpse of myself in the rvm.

As to you taking up three lanes of the motorway - just keep at the doughnuts and the marshmellows......

Okay, a further refinement to the convoy idea for those that dont want to travel absolute miles. Start at north end of motorway and hop down the country by service station picking up new people on the way down - leave when you like.

I have to use ariel photographs for my passport snaps. I have toes but I aint seen them in years. maybes someone has exchanged them for castors as I move really well, downhill at least.

and donuts are okay. they have nothing in the middle and marshmellows are made of air!
