merc e320cdi 210 estate 02 model vin vdb2102262x086870 still have problem with parametrik power steering. very heavy at standstill ok otherwise . is itcontrolled from wheel sensor can just about live with it. new problem just started . no warning lights on. but seam to have lost brake assist .used to feal it on the peddal when brakeing hard im sure its not working .have changed brake light switch. surely warning light should come on thanks all in antisipation

Not sure what you mean by brake assist. BAS only comes on during emergency braking. I've triggered mine twice in 7 years. ABS will only come on if you lock up, which again shouldn't be a frequent occurance.

Yes if BAS or ABS had a fault, the light would be on

There are some issues with the steering and I will try and look them up later

if the steering is hard at standstill and ok when driving then make sure to check your power steering fluid reserve, it may be empty (sounds like it)

fluid level is ok . ball joints are ok .steering is parametrick . once over 5mph steering is perfect but very heavy under 1mph like when doing a three point turn

abs is working perfect.bas is problem .im sure previosly when heavy breaking .whenfoot was on peddal in steady position .as vehical started to slow down bas would kick in and with no extra pressure on the peddal wouldslow down the car even qwicker this is not happening now

Just out of interest, when you notice heavy steering, were the front wheels parked at an angle.

wheels are at any angle .. car has now got 180.000miles on clock.have had this problem for over 30.0000miles... has not got any worse from the day it started

have the 2 problems .parametric steering problem about nine months old and now brake assist problem this month ..no warning lights are on
