Sump Sensor

Hi I have a 2002 S320CDI and i have heard that some Mercedes models have a sump sensor so should you drain the oil the vehicle will not start until system has been re-set is this true and if so what models does it affect? ie: S class, E class C class etc

doesnt sound true to me. sure your not thinking about an oil level sensor.
