Hi folks
Does anyone on here have any experiences of the Supagard treatment products? I was considering it for my current car but thought I'd try and get some feedback first.

had my silver slk done with it, and the black one was done with autoglym lifeshine. see the gallery for R170/R171

some valeters will do you autoglym lifeshine for £150.

Diamondbright is a similar product.

you get keyguard slung in with supaguard, but it cost £18 a year without anyway and i still get it. if insures your house and car locks if your keys go missing.

as with all these treatments, you need to keep the wax/polish topped up yourself. with autoglym, you get a full bag of stuff, which retails, if you were to buy it seperatly, at around £60. with supaguard you get some leather cleaner, some leather stuff, some car wash stuff thats usless, and a small bottle of wax.

autoglym is the better value product!

gonna look for a link to a mobile valeters who did mine for £150. when i got the latest car, they offered me it at the dealers for the special price of £299. after i fell apart laughing, the suggested they would do it for £200, i politely informed them i could and would get it done for £150 with a mobile valeters. they did it for free. the car did look well when i picked it up.

these did mine. they quote by phone.http://www.mobilecarvaleting.co.uk/home.htm

Had it done on the 210 when I bought her. Looked great. 3 months later, she needed a polish. The protection on the cream upholstery was probably worth it though. Certainly used to clean up well.

the better half's Skoda Octavia

came with the autoglym lifeshine. I'v had to rewax the mercs at last twice in the last year, but get by with a shampoo and occasional gloss protector on the Skoda. It definitely works for me.

just re-did the SLK with the autoglym super resins and then the extra polish job that comes with it. it comes up a lot better than the older one did using supaguard! and what i did find it is that MER and autoglym have the same shine, but autoglym is easier to rub off!

with the life shine pack you get with the car, you get polish cloth, leather seat cleaner, window polish, interior champoo, wheel cleaner (Acidic), windscreen fluid, a chamois, both polish treaments. and it does bring the new car clean back.

Definately worth doing for the interior especially if you have kids with dirty boots or pets the stains and mud just hoovers off. I had the exterior of the first Merc done but didnt bother with my second. I polished my second car with a good polish (Autoglym) about once every 3 months and couldnt tell the difference, but I think the exterior is worth doing if you dont have the time to polish and maintain.

Mrs Scooby's Honda CRV had it applied from new (as an extra) and the car seems to hold it's shine well with minimum of attention. It gets washed once a month and polished once a year and still looks great.
I also had it applied to a VW Corrado I had from new but it seemed less effective on that car.
If it were my choice I go for it.
