I have just receieved a phone call from my brother in law giggling like a little girl.

He has just had his ML 320 CDI MY08 chipped. He now has an extra 45 BHP, and apparently it now goes like sh*t off a shovel!

Does anyone have any experience of these 'chips' sounds very impressive for £300.

CHIPS AKA ECU remapping is very well known with deisels now a days and the power gains can be very impressive but the more interesting part is economy and torque gains.

They are worth considering but you need to make sure you go to an experienced company as it needs to be done properly or you will have issues in long run.

We have a member here who is quiet knowledgeable in this field and does engine remaps for living (GCLTuning).

Don't forget to tell your Insurance company - any excuse and they will void your cover in the (unlikely) event of a bump!
