I've a 6 month old E200k Elegance....
At speeds >60 mph the car front suspension appears to bottoming up (with a "thud" noise) when hitting a depression on the road.
I'm a very careful driver and whenever I see a depression on the road, I slow down but I did not have had to do this with my old 124. One other way of describing the depression....
on some roads, where there is a bridge, the joining of the bridge to the main road may not be smooth; the road tarmac may have sunk slightly. I tend to slow down nowaday but this may irritate drivers at the back.
The car appears to drive extremely well on roads and I've yet to hear any creaks or irritating sounds even when driving on a rough tarmac.
However, this "thud" noise is distriburing me! This happens on any of the fronts depending which tyre hits the depression.
