Hi 06 W221 320 'S' class started to get some problems with rear suspension , No loss of air with the system, But the rear is riding high and feels very bumpy, Have replaced the rear level sensor and made no difference, is this now a case that the rear struts will need replacing ?? Car also now has a aircon problem so is going in to a Merc garage next week to be connected to a star unit to be diagnosed , any suggestions would be most helpful,

it won't go high on its own,

fitting the level sensor muddled might get you there.... 221 has a switch to allow user to set it high

AC likely low gas from aged condensor leaking out the gas

Thanks, switch on dash will raise it up, but when lowers car is not level rear probably 50mm higher and gives a very hard ride so thinking poss rear struts, or suspension module , car does not have any air leaks, Ref air con car was in garage yesterday to check gas levels all ok, thinking poss fuse will be looking at that or A/C compressor packed in (Stopped working ) not having much luck this year but cars been very good not spent anything on it for 18mths and after all its a 15 year old car so expect things to go wrong now and then.

as far as I know only the swtich on dash or the level sensor will tell it to go up

re AC you didn't do the comand telematics update recently ? they all forget to turn back on the compressur - how or why that turns it off it unclear but its is a normal part of the udpate
