I have an annoying oil leak on my elderly but well loved ML270 and a newly finished driveway!
I intend to remove and check over the inlet manifold and have been seeing reference to removing the swirl flaps and plugging the holes left. Is this a good and workable procedure please and is it recommended by people who have done this?
Thanks,
Mike

Absolutely. Remove the flaps and plug the holes with threaded plugs. No adverse effects. Good to delete the flap motor whilst you are at it. A suitable resistor works.
