Tail lights SL500 (R230 '06) to take Sl55 lights

Hello,
The LED element of my tail lights have failed. So I need to replace/fix them.

I was wondering if anyone has upgraded the AMG lights (darker centre line) to the Sl350/500. I have the SL500 and the cost for the AMG ones is only £70 more for the pair.

Does anyone e know if the fixtures and fittings would be different?

The body metal geometry for fitting is identical so the only differences may be connectors.

They are a straight swap on all R230's. Have done a few upgrades before

The '55 lights will add a little extra speed, so you may need to speak to your insurer.
