Hi,

Like to find out a little bit more on the Tail Shaft Coupling? Where is it located & what it look like? Is it expensive to change?

Kind Regards

Tail shaft coupling?

Never personally heard of this term, but I imagine 'tail shaft' might refer to the tail-end of the gearbox from which the propshaft extends rearwards and the coupling may be the rubber 'donut' u-joint, but this is just conjecture on my part.

I think all of your are right. Thats the right part. But can you please tell me what that part is called? Do you have a pic? How much it cost & what happends if that part is totally worn, what are the symptoms or effects. I have been driving & is now told that part need replacing but do not notice any difference in performace?

thanks

The tails shaft coupling & R/H Mount is now replaced. I have now test drive the car, since yesterday when I accelerate there seem to be a minute vibration coming from the front. Is this because of the new mount or the tailshaft coupling.

The vibration sounds/feel like from the left/passenger side of the wheel or engine? I notice when I see the car being work on, the mechanic was working on the left side near the wheel section, is this where the tailshaft located or the mount??

Is this normal, waiting the part to settle down a little bit?
