Tandem pump repairs lancs ?

hi everyone, does anyone know if there is somone in lancashire who repairs hydraulic pumps. my pump is a tandem pump, 97. e300 td. 7 seat est.the power steering is working ok but the hydraulic suspension side is not working. apparently only the est. cars have this pump so they are scarce. full recon pump is £310, and new one from mb is £345.

In the absence of any other replies,so far,my inclination would be to go with the new mb pump at £35 more than a recon.I know there are several factors I've not taken into account-like:Is this a repair for sale of the car;Is this cost the straw for the camel's back,or is this car 'your baby'? Are you sure it's the pump?

There are plenty bring broken up, should be easy to find from a breaker

hi jay jee and malcolm, my local garage have disconnected the flow pipe today at the slv valve, the oil just dribbles out with engine running. they are adament it's the pump. dronsfields have hundreds of salvaged mercs and lots of contacts, they don't have this tandem pump as it is only fitted to the 7 seater e300 estates. looks like the mb dealer's the answer, £345 + 3 days del. from germany, the recon pumps are a joke at £300, i don't know how they get to that, no one will buy one. thanks for your attention. herbiemercman.
