Tech Info Wanted From Mercedes

Hi, just been on the phone with mercedes main dealer and as they dont give any tech info they referred me to their website click passenger cars/tech info, now you have to be registered to gain any tech advice

does anyone know how to get any info from the website visitor password etc

car in question is A170 auto Year 2000, problem no fuel pressure at injectors have already replaced High and Low fuel pumps and filter, mercedes told me they know whats the problem but cant tell me?

Any help PLEASE!!!

replyed to your other posts, will make some phone calls tomorrow and see what i can find out! are you 100% sure it is lack of fuel pressure and how do you know???

Mercedes are hardly going to offer adive over the phone, if they did they would go bust and why should they offer techy advice over the phone, after all the problem may not be that simple.

Hi Colechelle,
I first tried a leak test on all injectors and no diesel came through, i checked the pressure on the high pressure pump to the injector rail(disconected from rail) very low pressure, i replaced high and then the low pressure pump including fuel filter, pressure was a little better on the high pump but still very low,

i called main dealer today, they know what the problem is they said. 'its the early A170 CDI' (year 2000), BUT couldnt give any advice as of company policy,

So they said to book in for a diagnostic quick test, i origanally called to ask them if its OBD2 compliant so i could buy a diagnostic reader(ebay) with no luck.
