Are you sure it connects directly to a phone?

Normally the centre console connector is a UHI connector to enable Bluetooth?

If you post a picture of the connector someone would be able to advise my CLS had a UHI which plugged into a Viseoo MB-4.

Chances are it's a UHI connector onto which you slot the appropriate adaptor. If you have Comand then you should have bluetooth via that - it's how I connect our Samsung A10's in both our cars. Your best source of info and advice is a call or email to comand.co.uk (who are sponsors of this forum) with your VIN, they can look up the build sheet for your car, tell you exactly what you have fitted and what you therefore can/can't do and need for what you can do! There may be a specific cradle for your Samsung which charges the phone as well as using the car aerial rather than the phone aerial - worked really well in our S204 when we had iPhone 4's and the relevant cradle (which i still have but have no use for!) but there's no cradle for the A10.

It is a UHI but then need a c connector for the phone which should then allow the connection the car system

So I have the UHI connection in the centre consul and would I be right in saying that if I was able to get a UHI cable fitted with a 'c' type phone connector on the other end it would then be seen as a connected phone enabling the connection for hands free in the car

Afraid not, they don’t have the correct communication over the USB-C connection

Thank you, so stuck with paying silly money to get connected? Or by a new head unit from flea bay giving all the connections needed plus extras @ 169 quid

Do you have the cradle still or is it just the connection? If you have the cradle then have a look for a second hand Bluetooth adapter that goes into it, failing that and if you need the cradle as well then I would probably go for an Android unit then sell the original HU to recoupe some of the cost
