Telephone W169

Is it possible to pair an iPhone to a W169 to make the telephone function? I have all the buttons on the dash but wonder if it's just a 'standard' dash fitted to all cars regardless of whether or not you can link a phone? Mine is a 2006 car - 180D Elegance.

Standard dash, is there a connection unit in your armrest?

Maybe use a VIN decoder to see if it is pre wired - if yes, then you’d need to get the correct Bluetooth unit.

As above - check if you have option 386 (telephone pre-wire), if not - the buttons are there for decorative purposes only.

You might be able to fit an upgraded Audio 20 from a facelift model - it'll have built-in bluetooth (phone calls only).
Depending on how far you go that route, you can potentially fit a new head unit with all modern connectivity and functions.
