Just about to collect a used 54 plate C200K SE Auto and seeking guidance on the whether the phone wiring harness is pre-installed. This would obviously then just require a suitable cradle to allow handsfree connection. Buttons in the steering wheel etc but unsure if the harness is fitted as standard or if this would be a major Mercedes retrofit.

The main part will be there, you can only use it with an approved phone cradle and handset, someone will come on and tell what can be used.

If it is not fitted, try www.dashmount.co.uk they can supply the harness' to intergrate into the radio, however the steering wheel buttons do not work with their harness. Dashmount are mainly know for the 'no holes' brakets that they supply for phone cradles. They also do a nice range in leather consoles which they colour match to your car. Most are easy to fit
(No I don't work for them but i have used their products for years)

Phone pre-wire is an extra priced at £420 plus another £130 for the cradle. If you have it, there will be a UHI socket in the car and an aerial on the roof. If not, its an expensive retrofit, if you can find anyone to do it, and you're better off with an after market kit such as the Nokia or Parrot. They don't work with the wheel buttons, but having had a car without and now one with, I have to say, the difference isn't as great as you might think.
