I bought a left hand drive E220 Estate - Classic from Germany as I live in France.

next to the radio is a telephone keypad as well as buttons to activate. when phone is selected screen displays ne phone. Next to this is a drawer described in the manual (in german) for a handy phone (german for mobile)

Someone told me that the phone works via bluetooth.

Can anyone advise me how to get the phone working?

Best Regards

Steve

Merc don't yet do a bluetooth adapter though one is on the cards. If there is no aerial on the roof/rear window, you don't have telephone prep and the buttons won't do anything. It wasn't standard - at least on UK cars and doubtful on a classic and is an expensive retrofit.
If you do have an aerial then is it a 211 or a 210. The 211 has a split centre console lid. Either there will be a cradle in there or if its a Mid 04 or later model there may be a blanking plug on which you can fit a UHI cradle. Pre 04 models were fitted with a cradle from the factory and you'd need a phone to fit it.
