Hi all,
3rd Owner of a 1995 registered C200 Elegance, bought it in 2001. Lovely motor. Only let me down once when the original battery just died on me last summer.
On cold days I like to have the heater blower set at '1' and the heat level set to 'very warm', not hot. Once the interior of the vehicle has reached the desired temperature the passenger side of the split heating system automatically goes cold and blows out cold air while the drivers side gets warmer and warmer. Much to the wifes dissapproval (usually the passenger). So she turns 'her' side up to full (hot). This means that the drivers side of the heating goes cold so I (as the driver) then turn my heating up to full on. That setting works well because it gets very hot thus forcing us to both turn 'both our' heat settings down to warm setting. It'll be Ok for about 30 seconds before the passenger side goes cold again. So we spend or car journies manually adjusting the heating up and down.
I've had the local MB Stealership try and resolve this annoyance while the car was in for its service last. Alas they could not find anything wrong. Can anyone here help?
